Business Analyst – Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O)

📍Manchester area (2-3 days per week on-site)
💼 Contract | Outside IR35
💷 Rate: Negotiable

We’re working with a North West based organisation undergoing a series of Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) improvement initiatives, and they’re looking to engage an experienced Business Analyst to support this work.

This role is primarily focused on D365 F&O, working closely with finance, operations, and delivery teams to identify gaps, define requirements, and drive tangible system improvements.

The Role

As the D365 F&O Business Analyst, you will:
  • Work across multiple D365 F&O optimisation and enhancement initiatives
  • Engage with finance and operational stakeholders to understand current processes and pain points
  • Translate business requirements into clear functional documentation for delivery teams
  • Support system improvements across core F&O modules (e.g. Finance, Supply Chain, Operations)
  • Facilitate workshops, process mapping, and gap analysis sessions
  • Act as a bridge between business users, technical teams, and external partners
  • Support testing, change impact assessment, and adoption activities where required
Key Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst working on D365 Finance & Operations
  • Strong understanding of finance and operational processes within ERP environments
  • Experience delivering D365 F&O improvements, enhancements, or transformations
  • Confident stakeholder management skills across finance, operations, and IT
  • Ability to produce high-quality documentation (process flows, requirements, user stories)
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, change-driven environment
Nice to Have
  • Experience working in complex or multi-entity environments
  • Previous involvement in D365 F&O upgrades or post-implementation optimisation
  • Exposure to integrations, reporting, or data-heavy workstreams
